Marcus Kosins Jr.

Marcus Kosins Jr. has been representing foreign clients as a lawyer since becoming licensed in the U.S. in 1986. He practiced in the U.S. for ten years before returning to Japan in 1996. After obtaining his Japanese license from the Ministry of Justice in 1997, he founded Kosins Attorney at Foreign Law Office. For over 23 years, Mr. Kosins Jr. has advised businesses and individuals on U.S. work and immigrant visas, as well as international commercial legal matters.

Mr. Kosins graduated from Seattle University Law School in 1983, and has practiced law in Japan, Hawaii and Indiana, while traveling extensively. He is a long-time member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”), has spoken on numerous occasions on legal topics, and regularly teaches legal courses, including immigration law at Temple University Law School in Tokyo. He is an active member of the American Chamber of Commerce of Japan (“ACCJ”), and past Chair of the Legal Services Section of the ACCJ. Mr. Kosins lives and works in Japan with his wife and three children. He enjoys playing golf and collecting stamps, and attends the Franciscan Chapel in Roppongi.

Elijah V. Fayerman

Elijah V. Fayerman graduated from Pace University School of Law. Before he began his legal career, he was a senior software engineer at Thomson Reuters, where he worked on developing decision support tools and integration services for portfolio managers, investment bankers, and research analysts. 

Elijah began his legal career as a summer law intern at the International Law Firm of Fulbright & Jaworski in Hong Kong. Then he studied at the Japan campus of Temple University School of Law, where he was introduced to Marcus Kosins Jr. Prior to clerking part-time for Kosins Law Office in Tokyo, he was working for the VaLe Law Group in New York, appearing in immigration removal proceedings in the New York City Immigration Court.

Elijah is looking to be admitted to practice in New York State, and is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Roppongi Bar Association.
